Vasileios Georgopoulos initially studied in the school of Physical Education and Sports of the Aristoteleion University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Through his specialty in football training he held the post of assistant coach in youth academies of Iraklis Thessaloniki F.C.
After graduation, he served in the Greek air force as an officer, where his Bachelor (BSc) in Physical Education led him to hold the duties of a physical trainer and educator.
Immediately after his military service was completed, he began his studies in the school of Physiotherapy of the Technological Educational Institute of Patras,
Greece. Close to the end of his second Bachelor (BSc) he worked in one of the biggest public hospitals of Greece as a junior rotational physiotherapist. Beyond graduation, he worked as a physiotherapist for a private clinic followed by a role as a community self-employed physiotherapist in cooperation with boarding houses and well-being centres.
After two years of practice in Greece, he decided to come to the UK for postgraduate studies in the University of Nottingham, graduating with a Master’s degree (MSc) in Manual Therapy.
As a fully qualified physiotherapist in the UK, he has worked for the NHS and for a private clinic where he was further trained in management of neuromusculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain.
